Hi, I’m Tennyson Jacobson
As a married mother of two, my husband Kyle, an active-duty firefighter, and I live securely tucked into the mountains of Washington state. Since selling our CrossFit gym, I’ve worked to integrate myself into our community as a trusted insurance agent and owner of Tennyson Jacobson Agency. I continue to pursue my love of fitness and healthy living adding mental health as part of my journey since a home invasion in 2013.
My goal with Common Ground is to demonstrate that when we share stories, whether unique or universal, there is common ground from which to build connection.
I hope you are able to take away some key points from the podcast. If you know of someone who has experienced trauma and could benefit from the show, I invite you to share with them as they continue their journey of healing.

Tennyson finishes her shocking story, proving intuition and instinct are valuable tools when fighting for your life. She talks about what comes after a trauma takes place; the part most don’t hear or see.
Mother’s Day 2013 was anything but rosy for Tennyson Jacobson. At home with her daughter and mother, she was unpacking from a weekend away, when a stranger strode into her home and attacked her leaving her shaken and sure he’d return.
Tennyson Jacobson had an uncommon experience, the ensuing fallout at first leveled her and her family. Then she found her footing, decided to take control of the narrative, and find common ground and community with others.
